The renovation of Stockmann’s Turku department store is complete, with an expanded brand offering and a more experiential shopping environment
Stockmann plc, Press Release 15 November 2023
After nearly a year of renovation, the Stockmann Turku department store has just been completed and customers can now enjoy a renewed and stylish store. The first floor of the store has been renovated from floor to ceiling, and particularly the selections of women's fashion and jewellery have been expanded with a wide offering of Finnish and international premium brands. The transformation also provides our customers with a touch of luxury.
This Saturday, Stockmann Turku will celebrate the renewed store together with customers. The extensive renovation has completely transformed the first floor of the store; the more spacious and brighter floor now offers not only women's fashion but also bags, jewellery and a large cosmetics area. The brand offering has also been strengthened with many new additions in fashion, accessories and cosmetics.
“It’s great to present this wonderful store to our customers just in time for Christmas. With the redesign, we can now offer them a wider brand coverage, a more experiential shopping environment with a touch of luxury. I hope that customers will come here not only to shop, but also to be inspired and enjoy the atmosphere of the store, because that is what we have really focused on," says Riikka Mattila, Director at Department Store Stockmann Turku.
New energy-efficient lighting solutions and larger display windows have been used to brighten up the renovated first floor. There are now new, inviting seating areas among the fashion products. In addition, products have been rearranged to make it easier for customers to explore the store selections.
New products added to the selection in response to customer wishes
Stockmann has used customer panels and feedback to gather customer wishes on the selections and services in the Turku store.
The women's fashion offering has been complemented by a number of premium brands, such as By Malina, By Timo, and Max Mara Weekend. After a break, the store has reintroduced a jewellery section with new brands such as Annele, Marc Jacobs, Zadig & Voltaire and Pernille Corydon. The bag selection has been extended with products from Marc Jacobs, Zadig & Voltaire and NO/AN, among others.
“We have listened carefully to our quality-conscious customers in Turku. We are particularly pleased that many of the new brands are exactly the additions that our customers have wanted to see in our offering," Mattila continues.
In addition to the renewals, the department store is also currently delighting customers with its traditional fairytale window and atmospheric Christmas shop.
