Change in the composition of Stockmann’s Board of Directors in accordance with the proposal of the shareholders’ Nomination Board

Due to the current coronavirus situation and among other things the public meeting restriction ruled by the Finnish Government on 16 March 2020, Stockmann decided on 17 March 2020 to cancel its Annual General Meeting that was supposed to be held on Wednesday 18 March 2020. Stockmann will convene the Annual General Meeting at a later stage.
In the proposal to the Annual General Meeting by Stockmann plc´s shareholders’ Nomination Board, published on 27 January 2020, Board member Peter Therman informed that he will no longer be available to be re-elected as member of the company’s Board of Directors. On 26 February 2020, Board member Eva Hamilton informed the Nomination Board that she will no longer be available to be re-elected as member of the company’s Board of Directors either.
As a result of the cancellation of Stockmann plc’s Annual General Meeting, as informed on 17 March 2020, the Board members Peter Therman and Eva Hamilton will leave their seats today by resigning from Stockmann’s Board of Directors. Consequently, as of tomorrow Stockmann’s Board of Directors consists of following members until the next Annual General Meeting: Stefan Björkman, Esa Lager, Leena Niemistö, Lauri Ratia, Tracy Stone and Dag Wallgren.
Esa Lager is Chairman of the Audit Committee, and the other members of the committee are Stefan Björkman and Dag Wallgren. Lauri Ratia is Chairman of the Compensation Committee and the other members of the committee are Stefan Björkman and Leena Niemistö.
