Stockmann’s new distribution centre tops out

Stockmann will centralize its warehouse operation for Finnish and Baltic department stores to a new distribution centre, which will be completed in 2016. The new distribution centre will effectively serve Stockmann’s Finnish and Baltic department stores and enable growth for the Stockmann online store. The distribution centre will be located in Jussla in Tuusula, close to the main roads Lahdenväylä and Tuusulanväylä.

Sustainable development and other environmental perspectives have been taken into account in the planning of the building, which size amounts to 29.000 square metres. The distribution centre will utilise geothermal energy, for instance. The environmental LEED-rating for the building will be Silver or higher.
