Stockmann Group’s revenue in February 2013

The Stockmann Group’s revenue amounted to EUR 131.2 million in February 2013. Revenue, excluding the terminated franchising operations in Russia, was down 3.8 per cent. February had one sales day less than in 2012 due to the previous year’s leap day. This affected revenue negatively by approximately 4 percentage points. The general retail market was weak during the whole month in particular in Finland.
The Department Store Division’s revenue, excluding the terminated franchising operations in Russia, was down 4.8 per cent: down 6.3 per cent in Finland and down 1.0 per cent in international operations. Revenue was on a par with the previous year in the Russian department stores.
The Fashion Chain Division’s revenue was down 1.8 per cent; down 11.7 per cent in Finland and up 0.8 per cent in international operations. Lindex’s euro-denominated revenue was up 1.8 per cent. Revenue in local currencies was down 3.2 per cent. Revenue grew in Russia as well as in Baltic and Eastern European markets but was down in the Nordic countries. Seppälä’s revenue was down 18.2 per cent. Performance was weaker than in the previous year in all countries.
