Changes in the Stockmann Group’s Management; Heini Pirttijärvi to start as a member of the Group’s Management Committee

HR Director, M.Sc. (Econ.) Heini Pirttijärvi (b. 1966) will start as a member of the Stockmann Group’s Management Committee as of 1 January 2013. Pirttijärvi has been the Department Store Division’s HR Director since 2009 and is currently responsible for both the Stockmann Group’s and the Department Store Division’s human resources. Heini Pirttijärvi has worked for the company since 1993 amongst others as Director of the Tapiola department store and as Sales Director of the Helsinki city centre department store.
As announced earlier, Seppälä’s CEO Nina Laine-Haaja will leave the Stockmann Group’s Management Committee on 31 December 2012. The Fashion Chain Division, established within the Stockmann Group during summer 2012, is headed by Göran Bille, the CEO of Lindex. Nina Laine-Haaja continues as the CEO of Seppälä and since 1 July 2012 she has reported to Göran Bille, who will be responsible for the fashion chains in the Group’s Management Committee.
M.Pol.Sc. Nora Malin (b. 1975) has been appointed the Stockmann Group’s Director of Corporate Communications as of 1 January 2013. She has been Stockmann’s Corporate Communications Manager since 2010 and has previously worked in similar positions at Fiskars, Iittala, and Basware.
