STOCKMANN’S BOARD WILL NOT USE THE AUTHORIZATION ON THE PAYMENT OF A DIVIDEND

Stockmann’s Annual General Meeting held on 17 March 2009 authorized the Board of
Directors to decide by 31 December 2009 on the payment of a dividend of no more
than EUR 0.38 per share, in addition to the dividend decided by the Annual
General Meeting. In the meeting held today, 14 December 2009, Stockmann’s Board
of Directors decided not to use the granted authorization.
