STOCKMANN GROUP’S SALES IN JULY 2003
In July, the Stockmann Group’s sales were up 5 per cent and amounted to
EUR 119.1 million. The best growth was again reported by the Vehicle
Division whose sales were up 17 per cent. Sales by the Department Store
Division grew by 1 per cent. Compared with last year, the department
stores in Finland carried out a larger share of the season’s clothes
bargain sales already in June. Sales by Hobby Hall were on a par with the
previous year and sales by Seppälä were down 1 per cent. At Seppälä, the
volume of goods at bargain sales was clearly smaller than last year.
