STOCKMANN GROUP’S REVENUE IN MAY 2010

STOCKMANN plc
Company Announcement

STOCKMANN GROUP’S REVENUE IN MAY 2010

In May, the Stockmann Group’s revenue (exclusive of VAT) exclusive of
Hobby Hall’s discontinued operations abroad amounted to EUR 141.6 million,
up 3.3 per cent.

Since the beginning of 2010, Hobby Hall has been a part of the Department
Store Division. The Department Store Division’s revenue includes Hobby
Hall’s figures, and the comparison figures have been adjusted accordingly.
The Department Store Division’s revenue was on a par with the previous
year. Revenue was on a par with the previous year in Finland and increased
by 2.3 per cent abroad. Revenue declined in the Baltic department stores
but increased by 14 per cent in Russia. Thanks to a healthy stock level,
price driven campaigns were considerably smaller than in May 2009.

Lindex’s revenue increased by 7.6 per cent. Revenue in Finland increased
by 3.4 per cent and revenue abroad was up by 8.2 per cent.

Seppälä’s revenue increased by 5.7 per cent, up 3.7 per cent in Finland
and 10.5 per cent abroad.

One seasonal element that affected the sales of all divisions in May was
the school year ending taking place in June, one week later than in 2009.
