JUSSI KUUTSA APPOINTED A MEMBER OF THE STOCKMANN GROUP’S MANAGEMENT
COMMITTEE

The Stockmann Group’s Management Committee has been strengthened by
appointing the Department Store Division’s director of International
Operations, Jussi Kuutsa, M.Sc. (Econ.), as Development Director for the
Group’s international operations and a member of the Management Committee,
effective January 10, 2006.

In line with its strategy, the Stockmann Group is channelling resources
energetically into expanding its operations in the markets in Russia and
the Baltic countries. To this end, the Group’s Management Committee has
been strengthened by appointing the Department Store Division’s director
of International Operations Jussi Kuutsa, M.Sc. (Econ.), as Development
Director for the Group’s international operations and a member of the
Management Committee, effective January 10, 2006. In his new position, Mr
Kuutsa will be responsible for acquiring the Group’s commercial locations
outside Finland and implementing projects as well as for administrative
functions abroad and the franchising chain businesses. Mr Kuutsa will
report to Executive Vice President Heikki Väänänen on franchising
operations, and in exercising his other duties, he will report to CEO
Hannu Penttilä. Mr Kuutsa will be based in St Petersburg for the time
being.
