STOCKMANN GROUP SALES DOUBLED IN APRIL 2008

STOCKMANN GROUP SALES DOUBLED IN APRIL 2008

As previously announced, Stockmann Group’s sales developed extremely well
in April. Group sales increased by 100 per cent to EUR 222.5 million. The
reasons for strong growth were including Lindex’s sales figures in the
Stockmann Group’s sales, deferring the Crazy Days campaign from March to
April in the Finnish department stores, Easter’s calendar effect and good
sales development in all business divisions.

Sales of the Department Store Division increased by 52 per cent. Sales
were up 77 per cent in Finland and 13 per cent abroad. The Crazy Days
campaign made again new sales records in all markets.

Hobby Hall’s sales grew by 53 per cent, 47 per cent in Finland and 82 per
cent abroad. For the first month after placing the new ERP system in
operation in April 2007, Hobby Hall’s sales performance was comparable
with the previous year’s figures.

Sepp√§l√§’s sales increased by 15 per cent, 7 per cent in Finland and 34 per
cent abroad.

Also Lindex’s sales increased in all markets.
