Fashion Revolution is here again – Stockmann announced the list of its suppliers and factories
By taking part in the Fashion Revolution, people and companies around the world show that clothing industry must promote accountability and transparency. As part of its responsibility work, Stockmann regularly publishes its comprehensive supplier and factory list on its website.
The Traceable, responsible and transparent supply chain is an important priority for Stockmann’s responsibility work. Stockmann’s own fashion brand products are designed in its own Design Studio in Pitäjänmäki, Helsinki, and are manufactured at the contractor’s factories mainly in Asia.
The country of origin is marked on all Stockmann’s fashion brand products, and Stockmann publishes regularly the list of factories and suppliers it is using.
“We want to tell openly where the fashion of our own brands comes from. However, it is good to note that the country of production is not yet reporting the factory’s production conditions, which we monitor through our policies and regular third-party audits. In addition, we also have local purchasing offices in our in our major production countries, which have regular own audits for factories and through which we are in close contact with our suppliers”, says Stockmann’s CSR Manager Johanna Stenbäck.
Stockmann has just upgraded its supplier and factory list. The list includes the address information of suppliers and factories that Stockmann is using for manufacturing its own fashion brands. Stockmann’s own fashion brands are NOOM, cut & Pret, A + more, NOOM Loungewear and Global Essentials, Cap Horn, Bodyguard and Stockmann 1862, and BEL, CUBE & CO and Bogi.
