During Fashion Revolution Week we answer the question: Where does Stockmann’s own brand fashion come from?
The international Fashion Revolution Week is taking place between 24 April to 30 April. A responsible, transparent and traceable supply chain is one of the focus areas of Stockmann’s responsibility work and an important issue for our stakeholders. We want to be transparent in our responsibility communications and inform our customers of the origin of our own brand fashion. This is why the manufacturing country is always stated on Stockmann’s own brand products and we publish an annual list of the factories and suppliers that we use.
The list of Stockmann factories was last updated on 20 April 2017. It includes the information and addresses of the product suppliers and factories supplying the clothes and accessories of Stockmann’s own brand fashion, excluding footwear. The supplier and factory list for Lindex, a Stockmann Group company, can be found on the Lindex website.
Stockmann’s own brand clothes and accessories are currently manufactured in some 140 factories owned by our contract suppliers. Of our own brand products, 40% are made in China, 35% in EU countries, 10% in India, 9% in Bangladesh and 6% in other countries.
We continuously analyse our supply chain and have reduced the number of factories that we use to make the supply chain easier to manage and to improve our ability to influence our suppliers.

By keeping close contact with our suppliers and by auditing them we ensure that all production plants comply with the operating principles Stockmann has approved, irrespective of the country. We have six purchasing offices in our main manufacturing countries and they employ a total of more than 130 people who are in continuous contact with our suppliers and who work with them to improve our operations.
Stockmann’s own brands include NOOM, cut & pret, Global Accessories, Global Lingerie and A+more for women, and Cap Horn, Bodyguard and Stockmann 1862 for men, and BEL, CUBE & CO and Bogi for children.
