STOCKMANN GROUP’S REVENUE IN JULY 2011

The Stockmann Group’s revenue in July increased by 8.6 per cent and was EUR 147.1 million. Revenue was up 1.8 per cent in Finland and 15.5 per cent in other countries. Part of the weak sales development in the Nordic markets is due to calendar effect. In July 2011 there were five Sundays compared to four in July 2010.
The Department Store Division’s revenue increased by 15.5 per cent. Revenue was up 3.8 per cent in Finland and 46.3 per cent in international operations. The Russian and Baltic department stores continued developing well. Euro-denominated revenue increased in Russia by 58.5 per cent.
Lindex’s euro-denominated revenue increased by 0.9 per cent; down 5.4 per cent in Finland and up 1.9 per cent in other countries. Good performance continued in Russia.
Seppälä’s revenue was on par with the previous year. Revenue in Finland was down 4.1 per cent. Revenue in international operations was up 8.4 per cent and developed well both in Russia and the Baltic countries.
