INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF SHARES AND SHARE CAPITAL OF STOCKMANN

INCREASE IN THE AMOUNT OF SHARES AND SHARE CAPITAL OF STOCKMANN
The 1,611,977 new Series A shares and the 2,129,810 new Series B shares,
i.e., a total of 3,741,787 new shares in Stockmann plc subscribed for in
Stockmann plc’s rights offering have been registered with the Trade
Register today 28 September 2009. The new shares will carry shareholder
rights as of the registration date.
The amount of shares in Stockmann plc will increase by a total of
3,741,787 shares, i.e., from 67,352,166 shares to 71,093,953 shares.
Correspondingly, the share capital of the Company will increase from EUR
134,704,332 to EUR 142,187,906.
The shares now registered with the Trade Register will be subject to
public trading on the Nasdaq OMX Helsinki Ltd together with the existing
shares on or about 29 September 2009.
The gross proceeds raised by the Company in the rights offering ended on
18 September 2009 were approximately EUR 45 million.
