NOTIFICATION OF A CHANGE IN OWNERSHIP INTEREST UNDER CHAPTER 2, SECTION 10
OF THE FINNISH SECURITIES MARKETS ACT

Stockmann plc (“Stockmann”) announced on 24 September 2009 the final
result of the rights offering. In the rights offering, no shares were
subscribed by HTT Holding Oy Ab (“HTT Holding”), a company controlled by
Hartwall Capital Ltd (“Hartwall Capital”), based on the underwriting
agreement described in the flagging notifications issued on 14 August 2009
and 26 August 2009. Consequently, in accordance with a notification
received by Stockmann, HTT Holding’s share of shares in Stockmann
continues to exceed the flagging threshold of 10 per cent, but the share
of votes attached to the shares does not exceed the flagging threshold of
10 per cent. The underwriting agreement has ended.

D. Flagging threshold:
HTT Holding does not exceed or fall short of new flagging thresholds.
In accordance with the flagging notifications issued on 14 August 2009 and
26 August 2009, HTT Holding owns shares in Stockmann so that its holding
exceeds 1/10 (10 per cent) of the shares. Since the underwriting
commitment relating to the rights offering is not realised, HTT Holding’s
share of the votes attached to the shares in Stockmann does not exceed the
share of 1/10 (10 per cent).

Hartwall Capital does not own any shares in Stockmann.

Following the registration of the new shares issued in the rights offering
with the Trade Register, Stockmann’s share capital will comprise
71,093,953 shares (30,627,563 Series A shares and 40,466,390 Series B
shares).
