PUBLISHING OF STOCKMANN’S INTERIM REPORT FOR JANUARY-MARCH 2009

Stockmann plc publishes the Interim Report for January-March 2009 on
Friday, 24 April 2009 at 8.00 a.m. Finnish time (GMT +2h).

A press and analyst conference in Finnish will be held at 9.15 a.m. in
Stockmann’s new car park which is to be opened shortly; guidance from the
main entrance of the Helsinki department store, Aleksanterinkatu 52. At
the conference, the Interim Report will be presented by CEO Hannu Penttilä
and the outlook for the divisions by the directors of the divisions.

Furthermore, CEO Hannu Penttilä will host a conference call in English on
24 April 2009, at 1 p.m. Finnish time (GMT +2h) presenting the financial
statements and the outlook for the divisions. To participate the
