MAISA ROMANAINEN APPOINTED AS DIRECTOR OF STOCKMANN’S DEPARTMENT STORE
DIVISION. ROMANAINEN AND PEKKA VÄHÄHYYPPÄ APPOINTED AS THE GROUP’S
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENTS
Maisa Romanainen (41), M.Sc.(Econ.) has been appointed as director of
Stockmann Group’s Department Store Division, the Group’s Executive Vice
President and member of the Group’s Management Committee as from today.
She has worked for Stockmann since 1996, lately as director of the
department stores in Finland and the Baltic countries. Her previous
responsibilities at Stockmann have been buying manager in the Department
Store Division, director of the Moscow department store, director of the
Tallinn department store and director of Stockmann’s international
department stores.
Thus Stockmann returns to the former practice that the company has two
Executive Vice Presidents. Also CFO Pekka Vähähyyppä (48) who will
continue in his current position has at the same time been appointed as
the Group’s Executive Vice President.
The responsibilities of Heikki Väänänen, Executive Vice President, who
until now has been acting as director of Stockmann Group’s Department
Store Division, will change. He will until further notice take up special
duties under CEO Hannu Penttilä.
Director of the Turku department store, Juha Oksanen (52), M.Sc.(Econ.)
has been appointed as director of the department stores in Finland and the
Baltic countries.
