STOCKMANN GROUP’S SALES IN OCTOBER 2003
In October, the Stockmann Group’s sales were up 10 per cent and totalled
EUR 171.7 million. The sales by all the divisions grew. The best growth
was reported by Seppälä whose sales were up 14 per cent. Seppälä’s sales
grew clearly both in Finland and abroad where four new stores were opened
in September-October in a new market area, Riga in Latvia. Both the
Department Store Division’s and the Vehicle Division’s sales grew by 11
per cent, and Hobby Hall’s sales were up 3 per cent. The Department Store
Division’s Crazy Days campaign was a success and reached again new sales
records both in Finland and Estonia. The division’s ninth full-scale
department store was opened in Riga on October 17.
