STOCKMANN GROUP’S SALES IN AUGUST 2003

In August, the Stockmann Group’s sales developed favourably. The sales
were up 9 per cent and totalled EUR 136.4 million. The Vehicle Division
continued the rapid growth in sales which were up 20 per cent, and there
are no signs about fading of the demand within sight. Sales by the Hobby
Hall Division were up 8 per cent and reached the best monthly growth
throughout the whole year. Sales by the Department Store Division were up
6 per cent. The sales grew both in Finland and abroad. The Seppälä
Division’s sales were down 3 per cent on the previous year.
